Hemalayaa teaches a unique combination of yoga and Indian dance in Los Angeles and travels the globe transforming lives through these practices. As a yogini, dancer and fitness educator, Hemalayaa has a natural gift for bringing out the joy and the dancer in everyone. The daughter of Indian parents, Hema's upbringing taught her that dance was important to health and well-being, and her yoga training began at home at an early age. Her first teacher was her father. She went on to study yoga, philosophy, and meditation. A life devoted to yoga and dance animates Hemalayaa's playful spirit. Laughter, her own and that of her students, is the trademark sound of her classes. Hema loves turning her students on to the vibrant styles of Indian dance, which is revolutionizing conscious movement. She is the creator and author of numerous health and fitness DVDs and has been featured in publications such as Yoga Journal, Body & Soul, Fit Yoga, The New York Times and LA Yoga Magazine among others. Sonali Sadequee CHHC, AADP, is certified Integrative Nutrition Coach and Food Educator specializing in diabetes and cancer prevention, weight loss and digestive wellness. Sonali is passionate about helping busy people enjoy and upgrade their health and lifestyle through a gradual and transformative journey while building community sustainability. She is the founder of Sustainable Wellness, a wholistic health & lifestyle coaching practice that supports busy individuals in their journey towards achieving and sustaining wellness. She offers practical nutrition education, healing foods, stress-reduction, and lifestyle coaching services to clients in Atlanta and abroad. Her deep understanding of the healing powers of food and body shine through her fun teaching style. In her cooking classes, you will learn how to use the right foods to powerfully prevent diabetes, heart disease, and cancer while balancing your weight naturally, with quality, nutrient dense and yummy foods. Sonali is also a certified yoga teacher, teaching in Atlanta for ten years. She brings clarity, calmness, and playfulness to each student she teaches. Sonali loves to invite you to discover the source of your limitations while reconnecting you to your greatest aspirations for what truly nourishes you and feeds your heart. Sonali is also a co-founder of Kindred Healing Justice Collective, a non-profit group which seeks to build practices towards collective resiliency, safety, and liberation as responses to community trauma, burnout, depression, and isolation.
Jessica Wilson has been practicing yoga for over 11 years since her first class in college. After graduation, she traveled for over 4 years throughout South America and Greece, often teaching and using yoga as a means of balancing her nomadic lifestyle. She recently accomplished a long standing goal of receiving her yoga teaching certification in July 2011 at Wilmington Yoga Center, in North Carolina. Her classes are suitable for all levels, and have a primary focus on basic Hatha and Vinyasa flow.
