Born in London and raised in Nigeria, Dr. Eno Nsima-Obot has over 23 years of experience in the health & wellness industry. She graduated in 1987 as one of the top ten graduating students from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, with several awards. When she worked as a primary care physician with a large multi-specialty group in the greater Chicago area, she was a recipient for the quarterly award for compassion. She is passionate about empowering patients to actively engage in their healthcare. This motivated her to train as a professional life coach through an ICF (International Coach Federation) certified program (Accomplishment Coaching) in 2010. This skill has enabled her to have more in-depth and meaningful conversations, even in her everyday encounters. She is an award-winning author of a book for people living with type 2 diabetes entitled, "Dr. Eno's A-to-Z Guide to Thriving with Type 2 Diabetes". She describes herself as a lifelong learner and has always been passionate about exploring and sharing ways to create and promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle. She describes herself as 'a Thrivor' after a brief brush with cancer several years ago. Following that, she made a personal commitment to more closely 'walk her talk.' This led her to discover the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM). Delighted that she had finally found her tribe, she completed the intense certification program and, in 2019, became one of only 1200 certified practitioners worldwide. She is committed to working with women over fifty with a particular focus on women of color, and those living with chronic illness, to optimize their health and wellbeing so that they can experience wholesome lives and fulfill their purpose on the planet. She is an avid Peloton® rider and endurance runner. She also enjoys walks in nature, power yoga, as well as spiritual and metaphysical studies. As a functional medicine practitioner and professional life coach, Dr. Eno is well versed on a variety of topics in health, wellness, and personal development.
Dawn Jackson Blatner, RD, CSSD, LDN is a registered dietitian and certified specialist in sports dietetics. Dawn is a trusted food & nutrition expert appearing regularly in national media outlets such as The Dr. Oz Show, USA Today, Dateline,Newsweek, Cooking Light and WebMD. She is the nutrition consultant for the Chicago Cubs, a food and nutrition blogger with USA Today andHuffington Post and a nutrition expert on the advisory board of Fitnessmagazine. Dawn writes health and wellness articles for national magazines such asFitness, Health, Yoga Journal and Vegetarian Times. She is a co-author of Counseling Overweight Adults (American Dietetic Association, 2009), nutrition consultant for the New York Time’s Best Seller The Carb Lover’s Diet (Oxmoor House, 2010) and author of The Flexitarian Diet(McGraw Hill, 2009.) Dawn has worked as the dietitian for Lifetime Television and with a national healthfood chain, exclusive spas, DePaul University and Northwestern Memorial Hospital Wellness Institute. Dawn was a national media spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association for 9 years and has 13 years experience working with clients to improve health outcomes such as obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer. Most recently Dawn received Lifetime Television 2011 “Remarkable Woman Award” for her work in the field of nutrition.
