Whether or not you have gone through a Reiki class, you can still benefit from bringing the principles of Reiki into your life. This is an excellent class for you if you are new to energy work, considering taking a Reiki 1 class, or intrigued by the idea of receiving a Reiki session from a Reiki practitioner near you. What you will learn in this class: What is Reiki? How can Reiki help? What the five Reiki precepts are and how to apply them to your own life. How to use a Reiki intention box. How Reiki can be used with food and beverages. The reasons to learn Reiki: helping yourself and your loved ones. A brief meditation for the group as I send Reiki to all those taking part in the class. Reiki is a traditional Japanese energy technique. It is not massage; Reiki is a laying-on-of-hands technique that promotes relaxation and healing. I am a Reiki Master in Wichita, Kansas. I began learning Reiki in 2012 and ultimately started a business offering Reiki sessions and classes. I am based at White Dove metaphysical book store and yoga studio.

Born in London and raised in Nigeria, Dr. Eno Nsima-Obot has over 23 years of experience in the health & wellness industry. She graduated in 1987 as one of the top ten graduating students from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, with several awards. When she worked as a primary care physician with a large multi-specialty group in the greater Chicago area, she was a recipient for the quarterly award for compassion. She is passionate about empowering patients to actively engage in their healthcare. This motivated her to train as a professional life coach through an ICF (International Coach Federation) certified program (Accomplishment Coaching) in 2010. This skill has enabled her to have more in-depth and meaningful conversations, even in her everyday encounters. She is an award-winning author of a book for people living with type 2 diabetes entitled, "Dr. Eno's A-to-Z Guide to Thriving with Type 2 Diabetes". She describes herself as a lifelong learner and has always been passionate about exploring and sharing ways to create and promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle. She describes herself as 'a Thrivor' after a brief brush with cancer several years ago. Following that, she made a personal commitment to more closely 'walk her talk.' This led her to discover the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM). Delighted that she had finally found her tribe, she completed the intense certification program and, in 2019, became one of only 1200 certified practitioners worldwide. She is committed to working with women over fifty with a particular focus on women of color, and those living with chronic illness, to optimize their health and wellbeing so that they can experience wholesome lives and fulfill their purpose on the planet. She is an avid Peloton‚® rider and endurance runner. She also enjoys walks in nature, power yoga, as well as spiritual and metaphysical studies. As a functional medicine practitioner and professional life coach, Dr. Eno is well versed on a variety of topics in health, wellness, and personal development.
