In his consultations, he has provided managerial and executive assessments, job analyses, executive coaching and counseling, assessment centers, and training and development seminars and workshops. As an avowed scientist-practitioner, his passion is to translate social and behavioral science principles into practical application and literally “give psychology away.” The aim of this passion is to help individuals and organizations to function at high levels of health and effectiveness. Ridley earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Previously, he has taught at Indiana University and the Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, where he conducted a job analysis that served as the basis for development of the Church Planter Profile. This tool is used widely for selection of church planters across the country. As a researcher, he has authored or coauthored over 100 scientific and scholarly articles, chapters, monographs, and books. His interests include organizational consultation; multicultural counseling, assessment, and training; change processes; and the integration of psychology and theology.
