My name is Christine, or Sat Sevak Kaur (name given to me at the end of my yoga training). Sat Sevak means servant of truth, and it has been a fitting name for me. I try to get to the root of things and see through to the root causes and motivations behind what happens within us and around us.

I have a bachelors degree from NYU in Creativity and the Search for Meaning, and I am a Kundalini Yoga Teacher. I also have served with and under and studied with some amazing teachers, including Neale ...See All

In this fun class, we are the heroes or heroines of our own story. Putting ourselves in the driver's seat of the adventure that is life is so helpful for gaining perspective on where we've been and where we want to go. Discover your Jungian personality archetype and re-frame your story with a better understanding of who you are and why you do what you do! Are you a maverick? Healer? Ruler? Jester? Find out through this class. Next, we make a Life Quest map that helps us to see our journey from a different perspective - one of the storyteller. By objectively telling our story, we can often see more clearly and appreciate more the challenges we've faced and overcome. From there, we go through a simple guided meditation to see what quest our inner hero wants us to undertake next. Are you feeling unsure about your future? Do things from your past continue to haunt you? Are you having difficulty moving past a relationship? What about motivating to do something different? Then this class is for you! You'll need: -A few sheets of writing paper or a journal for your story and answers to questions - Blank Paper for your Life Quest map (small or large, depending on your preference) -Pencils, markers or crayons
First Class: Basics of the Cleanse Second Class: More info on how fasting helps your health, and a discussion on your gut and bacteria. Third Class: Other cleanses, and ways to fast and their effects! Plus sample meditation. Learn all about the master cleanse! What is it, why do it, and what is all the hype around it? Christine will talk to you about both the healing aspects of the master cleanse, and the spiritual. The master cleanse has been hi-jacked by fad dieters, when in fact, it is a fast that helps one prepare for deep meditation and cleanses the body of toxins. Learn safe ways to do the master cleanse including common sense practices. If you like, sign up for the master cleanse support group happening as a way to usher in the Spring with gusto! Be forewarned, the master cleanse can create big changes in body, mind, and spirit; so if you're looking for a way to kick off 2016 right, it might just be the ticket!

In this class, Christine will talk to you all about what you need to know before your first Kundalini yoga class. Kundalini, and yoga in general, is actually fairly new to the western world. As such, there are quite a bit of misconceptions about what it is and how it works. This class gives you the background on Kundalini and dissolves any confusion a new practitioner may have about trying this wonderful form of yoga Kundalini is a wonderful practice for beginners and experienced yogis alike Kundalini is known as the yoga of awareness, and doesn't require previous knowledge of poses or gymnast level flexibility. It is very different from other forms of yoga, and as such is a wonderful addition for those who already have a strong yoga practice in other disciplines. Expect to break a sweat, though, and to feel very relaxed afterwards! In class, we move, stretch, and breathe deeply in preparation for a closing meditation. Classes often involve healing mantras from the ancient texts associated with Kundalini yoga. These have a centering effect on the mind and make it easier to enter a meditative state. Kundalini has a long history as a practice, originating in the Upanishads in India in 500 BC. It gently challenges the mind and body to open, increasing intuition, and mind-body awareness.
