We tend to be fascinated by dreams, at the same time that we’re often puzzled by them. The truth is that our sleep and dreams represent a vast unknown territory for most of us. Can we learn to better understand that world? Could our dreams make more sense for us? And – if we learn how to interpret our dreams – should we just leave it there? Or could we possibly use our dreams in some way as a tool in our lives? In this class, we’ll explore the ins and outs of our dreaming selves – the various possible sources of dreams, types of dreams, how to interpret and understand our dreams’ messages (personalized messages for us as individuals, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach), and how to then apply the insights and information our dreams are presenting to us as a means to benefit our lives and our paths. Please bring some of your dreams with you for hands-on practice! A useful way to prepare for this class would be to view my class on “An Introduction to Your World of Sleep and Dreams.”

We've been seeing a growing and positive trend since the second half of the 20th Century as increasing numbers of people have been "waking up" and becoming more open to spirituality. Opening up spiritually is an adventure with many possible paths, each of which can have forks and twists and turns - and it's an adventure that should inherently be a rich and hugely rewarding experience! The means by which this is happening can be varied, as different people open up in different ways, by different triggers, and to different aspects. So how can you open more to spirituality if you're led toward this path? Is there a certain path to follow? Or are there different possible concepts, modalities, teachings, techniques, experiences, etc. that you can try to trigger and enhance your spirituality? Even if you're innately spiritual, can you enhance your spirituality? I'm a believer that there is no one-size-fits-all belief system for spirituality and I do not adhere to any specific school's teachings. My path has been both cognitive and experiential and partially based upon my innate spiritual awareness at birth. What I'll be sharing in this class will be a composite of various recommendations stemming from my own experiences and studies and based upon what I feel can be helpful - and, at times, essential - to authentic spirituality.
People over the ages have paid attention to their dreams, looking to them for prophecy and messages from another realm - and, of course, this trend has continued into the present. By and large, we have tended to view our sleeping and dreaming worlds as mysterious and relatively uncharted territory. Despite their strange quality, at the same time we have sensed that there's something going on with our dreams that's worthwhile and beneficial. How can we begin to make sense of this other world? Can we better understand our dreams and use them as tools in our lives - and, if so, tools for what? Can we likewise begin to understand the mysteries of our sleeping world? Are there unexpected things that can happen while we're sleeping? This is what we'll explore in this class. Diane Brandon will share some of the fruits of her 40-plus years of research into this world, including what science is telling us. Please bring any questions with you to this class!
