The Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) is a startup accelerator that helps technology entrepreneurs in Georgia launch and build successful companies. Headquartered in Atlanta’s Technology Square, ATDC serves as the hub for technology entrepreneurship in Georgia. ATDC was named one of the “10 technology incubators that are changing the world” by Forbes Magazine in 2010.

Mission

ATDC provides business incubation and acceleration services to hundreds of startups through coaching, connecting and community. Membership is open to all technology startup companies in Georgia, from those at the earliest conception stage to revenue generating, venture-fundable companies.

Experience and Distinctions

Founded in 1980, ATDC has graduated more than 140 companies, which together have raised over a billion dollars in outside financing and created approximately 5000 technology jobs in Georgia.

This four-part workshop teaches founders the essentials for a thorough understanding of their business models. We will discuss terminology that investors, banks, accountants expect you to know, understand and use, as well as the details and underlying assumptions of financial models. We will also dive into your individual business� financial model for specific advice.

Speaker: Charlie Paparelli, ATDC Angel in Residence After 20 years of active angel investing, Charlie thought he know it all and saw it all. He says he was "schooled" in 2013 while raising an angel round of $4mm from a sophisticated Angel. The process started on May 1st and closed on December 7th. Charlie will share what he learned in this money raising process. He'll present the eight criteria lead angels use to evaluate a sizable investment. Concept Please join us as Angel Investor Charlie Paparelli shares with us the key attributes Angel Investors look for. In this session you will learn how to position your company to attract early stage investment and prepare your company for future rounds.

Do you know your customer? This three-part workshop is a concentrated, unique program that helps founders and technologists of concept-stage startups begin interacting with customers early in the development of their companies. Customer Discovery utilizes coaching to provide a personalized learning experience. During the course of the workshop, you will develop a customer engagement action plan, a positioning statement, market-sizing data and a product development plan. This is the first part in the three-part workshop. Please be advised: This is a lock step series; you will not be allowed to attend parts out of order.
