As a multi-platform journalist and new media content manager, Jim Hackler is a leader in turning complex, technical information into compelling content. He founded the Urbane Environmentalist LLC., a new approach to communicating the benefits of green living and home construction in an accessible and understandable way. As the former head of two of the country�s leading green building initiatives (U.S. Green Building Council�s LEED for Homes and the Southeast�s EarthCraft House program), Jim brings a unique industry insider�s perspective on what it means to be green. His professional background also includes broadcast and print journalism where he worked in local television news and CNN, edited GoodCents, and contributed to Green Builder, Delta Sky, LoftLife, and Natural Home. Jim is also a national recognized speaker and trainer sharing his expertise at national conferences, workshops and start-up accelerators. Sabrin holds a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney specializing in CSR and peace through business. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University, concentrating on marketing and organizational behavior. Sabrin is currently undertaking Post Graduate studies in Sustainable Business at the University of Cambridge. Sabrin currently is the Manager of Corporate Sustainability at HSBC Bank Middle East. Her areas of interest are in youth and sustainability, the role of business in peace building, corporate citizenship and social entrepreneurship. Prior to joining HSBC, she was a part of the Dubai Chamber Centre for Responsible Business where she concentrated on raising the profile of CSR in Dubai through publications and coordinating Dubai’s largest corporate volunteering program. In addition to this, she was the editor of Dubai's longest running CSR publication and delivered the Dubai Dialogue sustainability conference series. Sabrin's previous employment also includes the Government of New South Wales (Australia), Macquarie University (Australia) and the Global Peace Index (Australia). Her roles have varied from research to project management in areas of marketing, industrial relations and corporate strategy. She has developed and presented papers on the impact of globalization and the effects of war on business and human development. In addition to this, Sabrin regularly presents at various universities and sustainability events and is the author of articles and case studies on social responsibility and corporate citizenship. In 2011, Sabrin received the Distinguished Service Award - Young Alumni from Macquarie University. She was also recognized as one of Australia’s Brightest Young Minds of 2008 and was the joint winner of the Stanford Global Innovation Challenge in 2007.
