Hi, My name is Dr. Elana Michelson and I am a single mom to six great kids. After I got divorced I had to find ways to heal myself while while caring for , raising and supporting my 6 amazing kids. During my healing journey I learned many techniques such as Faster EFT, NLP, Matrix Reimprinting and Mbraining to name a few, which helped me heal my past traumas, reduce the physical and emotional stress I experienced, get rid of my limiting beliefs that were holding me back from living my life to the fullest, and replace them with empowering beliefs that led me to where I am today and are continuing to lead me forward in the wonderful gift of life that I was given. I would like to share these techniques with you so that you can get the same benefits, and release your stress, traumas and limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering beliefs that will allow you to live the joyful life that is your birthright.

Author of Skewed Psyche and practitioner or Energy Balancing in the greater Baltimore area, I have lived through and healed from many traumas starting in early childhood into my recent adulthood. I've gone from being hospitalized for both physical and mental health issues and being on many medications to finding my own truth, taking charge of my healing and letting go of a need for any person or pill to be necessary for my health and well being on an emotional level. I want very much to be able to share my experiences openly and help others learn to redirect their lives, heal from addictive behaviors and find the strength and empowerment within themselves to live a life full of joy and miracles,

My personal experience motivated me to develop Yoga Tarana. I was affected by trauma early in life and I have experienced healing and reintegration using meditation, physical practice and breath. I've used my own experience to create integrated training modalities that are trauma aware, and trauma responsive. For the past six years my joy and my passion has been helping others to heal and grow using meditation and the physical practices of yoga. Yoga is an effective therapy for trauma recovery, helping people heal the disconnection to self (alexithemia) and reconnect to their 'felt sense' (proprioception, interoception). The connections are often shut down by repetitive trauma as a defense mechanism. These pathways need to be reconnected so that people can live successful lives. "The mind may lie to us but the body always tells the truth."
