Nija yoga means the innate, personal side of one's self. This class will bring the student closer to his/her true self through easy breathing and stretching techniques. Feb. 6 class will focus on loosening the hip joint.

Nija yoga is a class designed for the beginner using easy stretching and breathing techniques. Nija means the innate self. This class will help the student to become more in tune with his or her own body and mind. The Jan. 30 class will focus on the lower back.
Sunday mornings for 8 weeks we are going to spend only 30 min stretching, making funny faces and creating more collagen, naturally. Goal: To shine, radiate and be in our most empowered self. We will de-stress, energize and look and feel great! If you've practiced with Hemalayaa, you know we get CrAzy with fun exercises; Yoga, Dance, and more - we do what it takes to be in our full empowered-self. I encourage the commitment to all classes in this 8 weeks to get full benefit.
Every Saturday for 8 weeks we are going to spend only 20 min moving, sweating and affirming our way to balance, plus 5 min to warm up and 5 min to cool down. The winter blues will not be allowed to settle in, as we will be making space for joy and creativity with these special workouts. If you've practiced with Hemalayaa, you know we get CrAzy with fun exercises; Yoga, Dance, and more - we do what it takes to be in our full empowered-self. Goal: The health of our physical body, our mind, and our emotions. Everything is going to get a workout, and we will be in full freedom. I encourage the commitment to all classes in this 8 weeks to get full benefit.

You will learn that when you take the pressure off the nervous system using Yoga Posture and Meditation that the body can heal itself much faster. Yoga is a great way to be equipped to heal. It gives us a state of mindfulness and awareness that is the most important component of health.
Yoga is a great way to empower your life. Now more than ever people are entering into the flow of Yoga to find a new and alternative method for living life more fully. In Be Your Own Guru I will provide you with a simple application for understanding Yoga and its benefits. Called the 3 P's we will discuss how you can take deliberate and disciplined action towards Yoga as a Lifestyle. And I will begin to teach you how your Yoga life can empower a more positive way of living. We will breathe and meditate in this class for a few minutes so come prepared to dive in!
According to ancient yogic teachings, the ambrosial hours, the time between 4 and 7 in the morning, are the best time to practice yoga and meditation. The stillness that pervades at this time of day makes it easier for the subconsicous mind and the different energy and glandular systems in the body to be receptive to the attunement generated by meditative practices.

In this class we will take a guided journey through healing your metabolism. This meditation and breath technique is called Break Through Breath and is unique to Dr Denton's teachings. This is a simple form of Yogic movement of energy through your organs and energy pathways. We will take a guided journey through your energy system to enhance your overall well-being and ignite your desire and dedication to the healing path of living with a healthy metabolism. Your metabolism in the study of yoga is directly linked to your positive energy and life force. By the end of this class you will feel vital and alive!
