When a human being has a difficult beginning in life, for whatever reason the repercussions of these difficulties and hardships can, and often do, traumatize the child and create challenges in every part of their life experience. Often a traumatized child displays emotional issues, behavioral problems and developmental delays in any number of areas. But whats really at the root of all this? ATNs It All Started With Trauma, the 1st in the Essentials of Therapeutic Parenting webinar series, takes a close and parent-friendly look at the nature, causes, and symptoms of early childhood trauma. Because we at ATN either live or work with traumatized children we know all too well how stressful life can become. We wanted to create a webinar series that was a stress-free experience for busy parents and caregivers. So, each webinar comes with materials and resources that can be downloaded and printed for your convenience. We hope this series will serve, not only to inform you, but more importantly to let you know that you are not alone.

Most of us have some kind of habit in our lives that we're either trying to change or want to change. Just because you're entrenched in a particular habit doesn't mean it's forever. The key to transforming our relationship with exercising, productivity, eating, meditating and even with stronger addictive behaviors is understanding your habits and changing your relationship to them. In this workshop, Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D., will explore the neuroscience and psychology behind why we do the things we do that keep us stuck. Participants will be shown how to identify cues that trigger a subconscious habit loop and present specific mindful methods to help us break free from our bad habits and open us up to possibilities and opportunities to develop new healthier habits to take action with. This space of clarity and choice is The Now Effect.
