Most of us have some kind of habit in our lives that we're either trying to change or want to change. Just because you're entrenched in a particular habit doesn't mean it's forever. The key to transforming our relationship with exercising, productivity, eating, meditating and even with stronger addictive behaviors is understanding your habits and changing your relationship to them. In this workshop, Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D., will explore the neuroscience and psychology behind why we do the things we do that keep us stuck. Participants will be shown how to identify cues that trigger a subconscious habit loop and present specific mindful methods to help us break free from our bad habits and open us up to possibilities and opportunities to develop new healthier habits to take action with. This space of clarity and choice is The Now Effect.

January is a month of reflection, most often resulting in resolutions about body image and happiness levels; yet again feeling down about resolutions that failed from the year before. This year, why not try something new. Instead of beating yourself up about what you want to stop doing, stop eating or stop thinking, focus on what you can start doing. What you can add in instead of cut out. The most important mindful, conscious decision we can make all day long is what we choose to put into our bodies. I specialize in female hormonal balancing and will teach you the targeted foods to add into your diet to balance your mind, vitalize your body, boost your happiness and make you feel at ease. Yes, foods can do that! I will also teach you easy and effective mindful practices to guide you to a more positive and peaceful mind. Mind & Body. Double wammy ☺ The practices that I teach are simple, effective, and set you up for success. Changes that take 5 minutes a day instead of hours of preparation of work. Small changes resulting in big results. Tune in to learn how to make 2013 YOUR year of health, happiness, and a calm, balanced mind.

There's no way of getting around the blunt fact that work usually generates mental stress, and a stressed-out brain performs at progressively lower levels. Too much stress is without question the number-one killer of both efficiency and creativity. This is why it's vital to learn specific ways to regularly shift your focus of attention out of stress mode and into rest mode at work, thereby giving your chronically deep-fried synapses at least a few "time-out" moments during the day to regroup, recover, and recharge. This session will take you through the simple process of recharging your brain for optimal health, happiness, and performance. Participants will receive a free copy of The Brain Recharge e-Book and an invitation to attend the first 21-day Recharge Challenge beginning in February, 2013.
