Please enjoy a guided imagery Reiki meditation honoring the magic and wisdom of flowers and finding that magic within each of us. Flowers the wonderful mix of the gift of the Earth and the Light of the Heavens. This meditation is infused with the loving and peaceful vibes of Reiki and the vitality of the Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki is a relaxation technique to achieve peace and relaxation within the core of one’s being. It is also known as a hands on healing modality where the practitioner places their hands on or around the recipient, or sends the energy over a distance of time or space to help one connect to the enlightened realms.

Sera has been a lifetime student and accomplished teacher of Yoga and Ayurveda. She has been blessed with teachers who have searched classically for the patterns of the Universe and Spirit. Her studies and experiences in the realms of Yoga, Mantra, and Ayurveda all serve to assist in increasing her depth, sensitivity, and simplicity in ways she lives and practices. Her primary source training has allowed her to be a dynamic teacher and facilitator of the modern age. She is fluent in human physical and psychological mechanics and thus can adjust sequences, lectures, and treatment plans rapidly to accommodate individuals' present needs. In classes we will focus on the science behind the relationships between the body, the mind, and their bridges. We will be most observant of the flow of prana – how and where it moves and does not move in posture and how it relates – or does not – with consciousness. Using the paradigms of Ha-tha Yoga and Ayurveda we will explore our capacity to be both strong and flexible, moving and still, Ha and Tha, and of course, migrate in the direction of steady appreciation and holistic awareness. My goal is to contextualize things that are often taught in broad strokes without context. From this place, it is possible to go deep instead of only wide. When we are aware of context our work is more personalized and profound and thus the impact we have on the people with whom we work will be that much more powerful and in service. By studying and/or working with me you will gain a personal understanding of Yoga and Ayurveda in a way that is usable, approachable, and Classically based.

Cat Matlock is the founder, lead therapist and instructor at FreeBody Trigger Point Massage Clinic and Training Center in Asheville, NC. Since 1993, she has helped thousands of people move more freely and get out of pain. Cat has continuously studied the body and mind (and heart), developing her methods of addressing dysfunction, injury, and chronic pain. Her work is rooted in Trigger Point Therapy and a strong belief in the essential practice of working with the nervous system to gain access to the muscles and connective tissues. She began instructing yoga in 2001 and massage therapy in 2006. In 2012, Cat started offering public SMFR classes with the added benefit of precise trigger point location and release. Cat expertly weaves her knowledge of the nervous system and vagal tone (essentially, being able to handle difficult things with more ease) with her anatomical knowledge and precise trigger point skills into every class she teaches. Cat is also a Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist™, an instructor of the Overcoming Anxiety™ series, and a longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation. As a 500hr EYT with Yoga Alliance, she is a guest instructor in yoga teacher trainings, guiding therapeutic yoga and foam rolling, anatomy, and meditation courses. Cat is an instructor for Yoga International and created a YouTube channel with free Self MyoFascial Release (SFMR)videos.
