Council Fire: In this Shamanic Journey, meet the Ancestors and Spirits that can become lifelong guides. Inside the journey, you’ll have a ceremonial fire and invite a council of 12 Wise Ones to join you. Once I have taken you there, you can go back on your own to access strength and wisdom as you need it. Even if you have taken this class before, every visit to the Council is a unique experience. MORE ABOUT SHAMANISM 101: This is a series of regular classes designed to help incorporate Shamanic practices into your daily life. Though the classes are interconnected, each one also stands alone so that, while regular attendance is encouraged, it isn’t necessary. Every class will also have a chance to experience a shamanic practice- meditations, journeys, healing work, ceremonies and more. Subjects include Allies in Both Worlds, Council Fire, Web of Protections, Past Life Spelunking, Meet a Spirit Animal, Meet Your Dragon, Reclamation Project, Taking the Quantum Leap and more. I'll have several classes a month, staggered through out days and times so that every time zone has a chance to experience the class. Every month will be mainly one class, with a couple from the last month and the coming month for a little variety. You can follow me through LIL, or go to my website- atlantashaman.com- and go to my ""where I'll Be"" page. Any questions? You can email through LIL or email me at [email protected]

"Shaman Dwight Harriman will set sacred space then lead you in a Shamanic Journey- a deep guided meditation- to meet your Higher Self. Our culture doesn’t teach you how to be in touch with this part of yourself. This workshop will show you how to do just that. It will allow you to tap into the inner wisdom we all have. You’ll feel more grounded and alive. Connecting to the deepest parts of yourself will, paradoxically, allow you to connect to others at a deeper level. Quotes about previous workshops: “I’d tried for years, but had never been able to meet my higher self, until this workshop.” D.B. The hug my higher self gave me was like every hug I’d ever had rolled into one.” R. L. "

"Weight loss. If the usual advise was enough, why do so many people still struggle with weight? Because 95% of successful, lasting weight loss is due to mindset and understanding WHY you eat what you eat and when you eat it. Without understanding this piece of the puzzle, you will only temporarily succeed at keeping weight off. Food and emotions are highly correlated. Processing emotions can feel hard, so instead we use food as a way to escape and not ????. The ability to stop emotional eating or overeating won’t start until you learn how to feel your emotions and not stuff them down. In this presentation you’ll learn some tools for processing emotions so that you can stop hiding behind food. "

Cat Matlock is the founder, lead therapist and instructor at FreeBody Trigger Point Massage Clinic and Training Center in Asheville, NC. Since 1993, she has helped thousands of people move more freely and get out of pain. Cat has continuously studied the body and mind (and heart), developing her methods of addressing dysfunction, injury, and chronic pain. Cat is also a Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist™, an instructor of the Overcoming Anxiety™ series, and a longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation. As a 500hr EYT with Yoga Alliance, she is a guest instructor in yoga teacher trainings, guiding therapeutic yoga and foam rolling, anatomy, and meditation courses.
