It seems modern science has finally caught up with what ancient practitioners have known for thousands of years. We are intimately connected to the earth. And, we need to rotate our diets throughout the year and change our eating habits with the seasons. Many modern humans eat the SAME food day after day, regardless of seasonality or where it is grown. While nutritional science says broccoli is good for your health, broccoli does NOT grow in every season! During this class, we will discuss how to eat seasonally and diversify your microbiome to boost your immunity and feel your best. I’ll share yummy recipes and strategies to eat seasonally and deliciously.

Your liver is an essential organ for many reasons: it stores blood, creates proteins and fats for hormone production, releases glucose when needed, produces bile, detoxifies the blood and much more. The liver works in tandem with the other organs and systems in the body and when it’s out of balance, the body as a whole suffers. During this fun cooking class, you’ll discover how to use food and herbs as medicine to support the liver while also preventing disease. Join me to learn: Which foods and herbs support the liver Easy detox recipes perfect for springtime Which foods contribute to a congested liver Why a gentle cleanse may be better for your body than fasting or a juice detox

My name is Jason Williams. I have been in the health and fitness industry for over 17 years. Early on I was interested in body alignment and balance as a track athlete. Much of the training I do is Pilates, corrective exercises, and weight management based. After learn about the fitness and nutrition side of wellness, I felt like there was one aspect missing, meditation. I became a meditation teacher about a year and half ago. Today, I am a Wellbeing Coach, where I incorporate mediation into fitness and nutrition training.

Lisa is a Fort Collins, Colorado-based professional, speaker, writer, and beekeeper. She enjoys writing about nature's abundance, the cycles of life, nature, natural moments, and the importance of Being in Awe. Lisa has been writing since the age of 12 and studying the art of cooking for over 30 years. She attended pasta making classes in Italy, completed the intensive Forks Over Knives plant-based cooking course, and enjoys researching the science of cooking and presentation for the home cook. She has been featured in The Coloradoan, Advance Magazine, Medical Office Today, Mainstreet, The Ladders, and ICU Medicine. We can celebrate life at any age. Sometimes we are racing with the wind, and other times we are lighting a candle for a loved one. Sometimes we have to learn a new way to live. It's a celebration because we are here, breathing life with a cup half-full. We learn from the celebrations and in turn, bring joy to others while keeping watch for the wonderful.
