Sifu Pasquale is co-owner and Head Instructor of the United Martial Arts Center for Health & Well Being. She is a 3rd degree Black Belt and is registered with The United Stated Martial Arts Association (USMA). Her Martial Arts training began 20 years ago and she has studied the Chen style of Tai Chi with Master Chen Zen Li of China, the Tai Chi sword and Ribbon Form with Master Bow Sim Mark of Boston and Filipino stick fighting with Guru Michael Williams. She has also traveled to China with Master Ai Ping Chen of Connecticut Her Instructor experience began in 1996 when she began teaching Tai Chi at a local senior center and at the Danvers Center for the deaf. She has been teaching the children's program at UMAC for over 10 years and has been instrumental in helping children overcome anxiety, low self esteem and other behavioral issues. She now teaches the C.I.T Program at UMAC where students learn how how to teach a martial arts lesson and she writes most of the curriculum taught at the studio. Sifu Pasquale has dedicated her life to educating others about Martial Arts training and how it can benefit their life. The philosophy taught at the school is more about self improvement than kicking and punching. She has a strong desire to help her community and she coordinates special events at the school to help benefit the community. These events include Health Fairs, Parents Night Out to benefit the Jimmy Fund & Dana Farber research and she chaired the DEEP Child Safety & Awareness Fair for several years. Recently Sifu was invited to attend St. Jude Volunteer Appreciation Day where she joined over 200 volunteers at the Research Hospital for Children. The studio has participated in 11 Kick -a-thons for St. Jude and has raised over $40,000.00. After visiting the hospital her mission now is to raise what the studio raised in 11 years in one year with the entire community behind her.
