Presently I am the director of STILLPOINT SCHOOLHOUSE and STILLPOINT YOGA STUDIO designed for willing individuals to achieve optimal health and well being. Ambitious? I agree, but when based on my 30 years of study, experience and practice I feel I have something to contribute. In the process I have had the enlightening challenge to create a diverse practice that has shaped my life and led me to share this knowledge with others. Education

I have received certification in nutrition and natural foods cooking from the Kushi Institute (1987), and studied extensively with Integrative medical pioneer's Dr. Walter Burnstein, D.O., Dr. Irving Dardik (1992-96), and Dr. Carolyn Dean, M.D. (1992-2003). In 1972 I earned a B.A. in Theatre Arts and later expanded my experience in film direction at the Maine Film and Television Workshops in Rockport, Maine.
I am a 500 hour certified yoga instructor from Godfrey Devereux of Dynamic Yoga with 30 years experience teaching and practicing the art of Ha-Tha Yoga.

I am the author of seven published books including, The Body Rejuvenation Cleanse, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Detoxing Your Body, Super Charge with Superfoods, Simply Smoothies, Cooking Healthy with One Foot Out the Door, Starting Over Learning to Cook with Natural Foods, Empowering Your Life with Meditation.

How well does your digestive system work? Do you suffer from bloating, Crohn’s, IBS, Colitis, Diverticulitis or Acid Reflux? How about constipation and/or loose bowels? You are not alone! With all the many changes to the way we grow and process food it is no wonder the human body is suffering with chronic digestive issues. In this 60 minutes session Delia will help clarify many of these issues as they relate to food and how changing your diet can alleviate much of your discomfort. How to Improve Your Digestion will also explore medications that can hinder your digestion and how processed foods reek havoc on your intestines ability to do its job effectively. Delia will demonstrate simple accupressure techniques, stretching and breathing exercises you can do at your work desk that strengthen the digestive system and help alleviate everyday digestive discomfort.

Did you know that the foods you eat can determine if your mind feels sleepy, foggy, hyper, manic, calm or energized? When you reach for the candy bowl or cup of coffee at 3:00 p.m each day your course was set from the first thing you ate or did not eat for breakfast. What your body needs are whole foods that provide needed nutrients to support a full day of work and activity; but how can you prepare healthy meals when you are on the go all day? In this 60 minute session Delia will provide the most up to date research on the mood-food connection; and help you create a daily food plan with tips, recipes and ideas that will make what seems impossible simple and easy. An experienced yoga teacher and energy therapist, Delia will also demonstrate breathing, stretching and self-massage techniques you can use to increase energy when those mood slumps get you down.

Do you know the single most important thing you can do in a day to get the most from your food? In this 60 minute session we will explore the body-food relationship based on how your food is grown and processed; where your food comes from and the impact eating a Standard American Diet has on your health and the health of the planet. Delia will guide you on a step-by-step progression towards improving the quality of the food you eat; how to plan menu's, shop and prepare your food to provide optimal wellness. Delia will include delicious nutritious recipes that include snacks and meals you can bring to sustain you through a day of work. This session will also include simple movement exercises you can do sitting at your desk to improve posture, blood flow; massage filtering organs and stretch cramped and tired muscles.
