This session will explore various topics such as: CART in the classroom; Tips and Tricks for a smooth semester; What to ask for when accepting CART work in education; and, Working with students and faculty.

Maryellen Smolka began her career as a sign-language interpreter in 1996, and has more than 15 years’ experience working with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. She has been with CUNY since 1997, and is currently a CART Provider, Initiative Leader, Trainer and Coordinator of CART services at the College of Staten Island's Multi Media Regional Center.
